About me

When a scientist listens to the inner voice of her heart

Artist | Scientist | Storyteller of Colours

I am Veena Vyas, an emerging artist from India with a unique journey from science to art. Holding a Postgraduate degree in Biochemistry, I spent my early professional years as a scientist in the pulp and paper industry. After transitioning into the roles of a mother and homemaker, I discovered my passion for art, which started as a hobby and blossomed into a fulfilling career.

My formal journey into the art world began with a two-year mentorship under Ashis Pahi, an internationally renowned artist and curator at Kalanirvana International Art Center, Bhubaneswar. This experience provided me with clarity and direction, allowing me to channel my inspiration from animals, nature, Indian mythology, and culture into my creations.

I am particularly drawn to the mythical world of shlokas, where my scientific curiosity meets the ancient wisdom of Indian heritage. Through vibrant colors, intricate patterns inspired by nature, and the rich hues of Indian tradition, I aim to create art that resonates with the diversity, vibrancy, and positivity of India. My work seeks to bridge the ancient and the modern, spreading happiness and positivity through every canvas.
